Virtual Storybooks

The”Virtual Storybooks” digital artwork created by David Fliesen (SL: Joey Aboma) is on display thru April 19th in the Sequential Comic Book Art gallery show at the Art Institute of Virginia Beach. Feel free to stop by if you are in the area. It’s located in Town Center at 4500 Main Street, Suite 100, in the front office entrance to the Art Institute. His submission includes 3 comic books he did from virtual role playing characters loosely based off James Cameron’s film “Avatar” in Second Life on the sims related to the film. Here are some quick snapshots, but I think they have a few more pieces to add later this week. The school is also hosting a catered gallery show reception on April 5th from 5-7 pm if you are free to stop by that night.

Na’vi word of the week: Zerok

Sat, Mar 09 2019 8:09:13 PM PDT

“Zerok” is the Na’vi word for “remember.”

Recently, as I have been sorting through old notecards, photos and roleplays from the past, I done a lot of remembering… Good times! When I look at this clan group, it brings me joy to see so many remained in the group even though we were not active for years. If any of you would ever like to return to RP or just to casually visit, I’d love to see you! 🙂

Zerok!

Please join the group if you haven’t already. That is where all clans and human groups unite as one and notices for all three sims is posted!

In the FUTURE, this planned group RP may grow, change times, etc. I know it is late for many. ALSO, RP is welcome always, any time of day!

Sun, Mar 03 2019 3:31:41 PM PST – Brothers and sisters, on this final day of the Festival of the Sister Moons, I ask you travel to our neighboring clans, Omatikaya and Txe’lan, for trade, storytelling and gift giving. Take it upon yourself to reach out to our fellow na’vi! Help new na’vi. Be in the giving spirit.  At both Tree of Souls, gifts have been set out by your fellow na’vi!  As always, please reach out to me if you need guidance.

Txampay Pongu Clan welcomes our new sister, Syulang Tirea!

Syulang Tirea is now taronyu of Txampay Pongu! Honor her and welcome her when you see her around the village and forest or canoeing on the water!

Syulang Tirea 02_19

Syulang is the first na’vi to complete our new initiation ceremony and hunt, which is completed with Tsahik and Eyktan of the clan. She will be a great guide for others joining us. Already she brings so much to Txampay!

With their village built into dramatic sea cliffs, the Txampay Pongu (Sea People) are known for their skill in riding ikrans. They fish the dinicthoid and other water creatures, party often and fight fiercely. We are one of the oldest and largest na’vi clans in Second Life.  Join us!

Na’vi word of the week: Tsawl slu

Fri, Mar 01 2019 7:32:46 PM PST – “Tsawl slu” is how the na’vi say “grow.” I thought that would be a good concept for this week. Just this week, our clan grew by a taronyu, and a few old clan members – tsamsiyu, taronyu and hawpanyu – returned to us. We also celebrated our new Tsahik. Training is being worked on by our role leaders. Much is in the works!

Thank you all! Irayo!
